Laurie's Certified Construction builds both attached and detached garages. You can choose from hundreds of designs or we can design your building for you. Garages can be as simple as a place to park your car to an elaborate building attached to your home with finished bonus rooms, bedrooms or complete apartments! We also build barns, storage sheds, garden sheds, tree houses and play houses.

Laurie's Certified Construction can provide all of the site preparation including the excavation and concrete. We normally use an Alaskan Monolithic Floating foundation for detached buildings. If your garage is going to be attached to your house we will include a footing and frost wall.

 Walls are constructed with a pressure treated bottom plate and either 2x4 or 2x6 construction, 16" on center. If the building will be insulated, it is best to use 2x6 construction. Roof assembly can be either truss or rafters. We can also construct the building to allow wide open space with no lolli columns down the middle of the building, restricting usage. In this case we use either steel beams or laminated beams for support. We have hundreds of choices of windows, doors and overhead doors to choose from. We also do complete interior finish work if you would like to include a mother in law space, office, game room, etc. Some of our clients have even bought buildings to use as a home!
